George Mulhern

George Mulhern — CEO & Chairman of the Board

George brings proven leadership and 25 years of business-to-business technology expertise to Cradlepoint. During his 20-year career at Hewlett Packard, George had responsibility for hardware, software, and services businesses that ranged in size from several million dollars to multi-billions of dollars of annual revenue. He successfully led businesses with sites located in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and he developed and implemented growth strategies both organically and through acquisition for the SMB and enterprise markets. Mulhern’s last position with HP was as Senior Vice President, leading the LaserJet Global Business Unit. More recently, Mulhern was a general partner with Highway 12 Ventures, a Boise-based venture capital fund that served as a catalyst for entrepreneurs and startups to help drive economic growth in the Northwest region. George holds a bachelor's degree and MBA, Business Administration, from San Jose University.


Val Heusinkveld

Val Heusinkveld — COO

Val is a results-driven financial executive with more than 30 years experience in successfully driving profit improvement, leading business growth, and establishing scaling operations. She has held financial leadership positions with public and private companies ranging in size from start-ups to publicly traded global businesses. Val began her career in public accounting, providing audit, advisory, and acquisition services to growth-oriented companies. Prior to joining Cradlepoint, Val’s previous position was CFO for Purcell Systems, Inc. a capital equipment supplier to the telecommunications industry. She has also served as CFO of Extended Systems, Inc., a provider of database and wireless device software and as CFO for In-System Design, Inc., a fabless semi-conductor company. She was the CFO for TJ International/Trus Joist Corporation, which pioneered engineered lumber products. Val’s core expertise includes optimizing cash flow, improving profit, building processes and infrastructure to facilitate growth, international operations, and financial planning. Val holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Idaho.


Ian Pennell

Ian Pennell — CPO

Ian joins Cradlepoint after 30 years of working in the computer and networking industry. Prior to joining Cradlepoint, Pennell served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco's Small Business Group and as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Cisco's Enterprise Access Routing Technology Group. During his tenure, he had P&L responsibility for multiple strategic market segments including Branch Office Routing, Dial Access and Small Business. Before Pennell's leadership roles at Cisco, he held a number of senior sales, marketing, and engineering positions across a variety of technology startups, and has been instrumental in the vision and development of some of the industry's most successful solutions, including Cisco's Integrated Service Routers.


Mark Pugerude

Mark Pugerude — Chief Sales Officer

Mark has close to 30 years of experience in direct sales, channels sales, business development, and corporate strategy. Prior to joining Cradlepoint in 2019, he served as Chief Sales Officer of Infovista, were he led a successful effort to transition the company from a declining revenue trajectory to double-digit growth for their suite of visualization and monitoring software for 5G and SD-WAN use cases. As a lead corporate strategist, Mark helped lead a multi-departmental team to successfully spin out Iconectiv (a division of Ericsson) to a private equity ownership, realizing nearly $1.2 billion in corporate value. Mark spent nearly 10 years as President of Global Sales of GENBAND, a global telecommunications software and hardware provider to wireless and wireline carriers plus large enterprises in over 120 countries around the world. Mark began his career at GENBAND as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy, where we was responsible for leading a team of executives to successfully raise $489 million in private equity and acquiring the Nortel CVAS business unit. Mark started his career with sales and sales management responsibility in the wireless industry, having worked at both Motorola and Nokia.


Todd Krautkremer

Todd Krautkremer — CMO

Todd brings to Cradlepoint more than 25 years of tech executive experience within startup, early-stage, and growth-stage companies and spanning wired and wireless networking, security, and cloud technologies. Prior to Cradlepoint, he was CMO at Pertino (acquired by Cradlepoint in 2015), a pioneer in software-defined cloud networking. Previous roles include COO at Red Lambda; CEO at Gearworks (acquired), where he was nominated for EY Entrepreneur of The Year; VP of Worldwide Marketing at Packeteer (IPO, acquired); and VP of Marketing at Sync Research (IPO, acquired). Earlier in his career, Todd held positions in software and network engineering at AT&T and product management and sales at Siemens Communications Systems. He is currently a co-founder, board member. and mentor at the Minnesota Emerging Software Advisory, a nonprofit C-level mentoring organization for Minnesota software startups, and holds two patents regarding managed network services.


Todd Kelly

Todd Kelly — Chief Security Officer

Todd Kelly is a seasoned network architect and cyber security leader with over 20 years of experience with enterprise and mobile network operator IP networks. He is known for educating and supporting global wireless operators and enterprises as they build secure, next-generation networks. Todd earned a Master of Science in Information Technology from Northwestern University, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois University and holds a CISSP® Certification. Before becoming Cradlepoint’s Chief Security Officer, he served as Vice President of Solution Engineering and held global technology leadership positions with Starent Networks (purchased by Cisco), 3Com, USRobotics, and several startup vendors pioneering networking communications.


Ryan Adamson — Co-Founder & SVP, Americas Sales

Ryan has been a leader in the technology industry for over 20 years, including senior management positions at Kestrelink and Portsmith. Prior to that he was Director of Business Development and Professional Services at Rightnow Technologies, a Bozeman-based CRM software company, where he also served on the original board of directors and helped raise $31 million in venture funding. Ryan holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Montana State.

Lindsay Notwell

Lindsay Notwell — SVP of 5G Strategy & Global Carrier Operations

Prior to Cradlepoint, Notwell spent 17 years at Verizon, where he led the strategy, planning, and implementation of the world’s first large-scale 4G LTE network. Notwell comes to Cradlepoint with more than 30 years of operational, marketing, and sales experience within the computer and communications market. Notwell holds a bachelor's degree in psychology/sociology, and an MBA from Ohio State University.


Pankaj Malhotra — SVP of Engineering

Pankaj has nearly 25 years of engineering leadership experience at companies including Twilio, ShoreTel, Juniper Networks, and Cisco Systems. Before Cradlepoint he served as the Head of Engineering for Twilio’s super network group responsible for building a scalable cloud system for carrier connectivity, and at ShoreTel as CTO. He has deep experience in building and leading high-performance teams and products for cloud-based unified communications, as well as IP routing and switching. Pankaj earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s degree in Computer Applications from Delhi University.​

Don Baumgartner — SVP of Operations

Don comes to Cradlepoint with more than 20 years of extensive experience in executing strategic marketing, business management, and operational efficiency to grow companies to the highest level. Don has consistently led companies from start-up positions in emerging markets to market leaders in global competitive markets while consistently increasing revenue growth. Don’s expertise expands across an organization, providing experience in building the teams and operational structure needed for companies to scale effectively through rapid growth. Don served as Chief Operating Officer at Relkuse Motor Sports and is the former Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Extended Systems. Don holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Idaho.

Matt Robinson — Director

Matt is a Principal at TCV with a focus on B2B software. He joined the firm in 2011 as an Associate in the Services Group, supporting healthcare IT and services investment efforts from New York and Palo Alto. Matt is actively involved in TCV’s investments in Cradlepoint, where he serves on the board of directors, as well as HashiCorp, Silver Peak, Vectra, and Venafi.

Before TCV, Matt was an analyst in the Global Healthcare Group at UBS Investment Bank in New York, advising healthcare clients on a range of transactions spanning M&A, equity, and debt offerings. Matt also spent time evaluating healthcare investment opportunities at General Atlantic in New York.

Matt received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry with honors from Indiana University.

Gerry Langeler — Director (Managing Director, OVP Venture Partners)

Gerry Langeler joined OVP Venture Partners in 1992 and focuses on investments in the communications, clean tech and software sectors. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cradlepoint, Group14, Novomer, and PolySync.

Prior to joining OVP, Gerry was co-founder of Mentor Graphics Corporation (NASDAQ: MENT) in Portland, Ore, in 1981. There he served as President, and over 11 years helped lead mentor through its IPO to more than $400M in worldwide sales and more than $1B in market capitalization. He began his technology career at Tektronix. Gerry received his AB in Chemistry from Cornell University and his MBA from Harvard University. He is the author of “The Success Matrix – Winning in Business and in Life” (Logos Press 2014), “Take the Money and Run! An Insider’s Guide to Venture Capital” (Lulu Press 2011), and “The Vision Trap” (Harvard Business Review, March 1992). In 2012, Gerry was named by Oregon’s Governor to serve as co-chair of the Oregon Growth Board and in 2011 was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network. He is the father of two grown children, and enjoys skiing (when his knees can stand it) and golf.

Rick Belluzzo — Director

A three-time CEO and longtime tech executive, Rick has been involved in a wide range of companies as CEO, Board Member, Investor, and recently Venture Partner. Rick began his career with Hewlett Packard and spent 23 years at the company. Much of his time was focused on leading and building the Printer and PC business. His last role was as Executive VP of the Computer Organization. He also spent time as CEO of SGI and held several roles at Microsoft, including Group VP of the Consumer Organization and President/COO of the company. He spent nine years as CEO of Quantum Corp and recently was CEO of Viavi Solutions. In all of his roles Rick has been focused on driving change and transforming businesses. He currently serves as Chairman of Infoblox and Viavi Solutions, and is a Board Member of Cradlepoint. He spends most of his time as the U.S. Venture partner for Innogest SGR, the leading Venture firm in Italy, where he pursues his passion in helping to build companies with an Italian foundation.

Mike Myer — Director

Mike Myer is Founder and CEO at Quiq, a company that is re-imagining how cutsomer service is delivered in a mobile world. Previously, Mike was Chief Product Officer & VP, Engineering, at Dataminr, the leader in real-time event detection in social media. Prior to joining Dataminr in 2013, Mike was Group Vice President at Oracle, where he led a team of nearly 500 responsible for the development of the Oracle RightNow Service application. Mike joined Oracle via the $1.8B acquisition of RightNow Technologies, where he was Chief Technical Officer and VP, Product Development. One of the first RightNow employees, Mike architected and led the development of the RightNow Customer Experience solutions, used by many of the world’s largest consumer-facing organizations to deliver exceptional customer interactions. Before RightNow, Mike held various software development and architect roles at AT&T/Lucent/Bell Labs Research. Mike has earned BS and MS degrees in CS from Rutgers University. Mike splits his time between two of the best (and most dissimilar) places: Bozeman, Montana. and New York City.

Greg Warnock — Director (Director, Mercato Partners)

Greg Warnock, PhD, is a co-founder and managing director of Mercato Partners, a growth equity investment firm. His operating experience spans retail, technology, business services, and consumer products businesses. Greg currently serves on the board of directors for Skullcandy (NASDAQ: SKUL), Sphero, Stance, Cradlepoint, Galileo, Steelhouse, and the Community Foundation of Utah.

Prior to Mercato Partners, Greg Warnock was a co-founder and managing director of the venture capital firm, vSpring Capital. Greg was principal in more than 20 M&A transactions prior to vSpring, and launched and operated 21 businesses. Greg is the founder of Junto Partners, an entrepreneurship education initiative that trains and mentors aspiring entrepreneurs. Greg has been named as one of Utah's most influential people, Utah Business Outstanding Director, the 2009 Business Mentor of the Year, and was honored with the Supporter of Entrepreneurship Award at the Ernst & Young Special 20th Anniversary Gala Event. Greg received a BS in computer science and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Utah, and a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Venture Finance at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business.

Ron Mika — Director (Founder/Managing Director, Sorenson Capital)

Ron Mika co-founded Sorenson Capital Partners in 2002 and is a Managing Director of the firm. Prior to founding Sorenson Capital, Mr. Mika was a Managing Director at Bain Capital, where he began his investing career in 1989.

In his 25 years in the private equity industry, Mr. Mika has been instrumental in leading investments in a number of sectors including automotive supply, aerospace machining, chemicals, consumer products, oil & gas services, distribution, scientific equipment, retail, medical services, packaging, renewable energy and enterprise software in small and middle-market sized businesses.

Mr. Mika received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University.

LeGrand Lewis— Director (Principal, Sorenson Capital)

LeGrand Lewis joined the firm in 2008. He has had extensive experience in deal origination, business and financial due diligence, deal negotiations, transaction structuring, and portfolio management. LeGrand led or co-led the investments in Wilson Electronics, RTC, ReBath, and IDC, as well as add-on acquisitions at IDC and RTC. He has also been involved in the realizations of LifePort and Mity. LeGrand serves as a member of the board of directors for RTC, Suncrest Solar, ReBath, and IDC, and serves as the Chairman of the Board for Wilson Electronics. He is a member of the firm’s aerospace and defense practice.

Doug Gilstrap — Director


Doug focuses on investments in the IT infrastructure area for both enterprise and service provider markets. He also works with companies in the business services and fintech industries. He currently serves on the board of directors of TCV company Cradlepoint.

Previously, Doug was Chief Strategy Officer for Ericsson, a role that included chairing the company’s M&A Investment Committee. Prior to that, he was Head of Strategy for Cable and Wireless, CEO of Radianz, a secure low latency and hosting financial services data extranet, and CFO and COO of Equant Networks (NYSE: ENT; over $10 billion), a global data network services company. Radianz and Equant are now divisions of BT and Orange, respectively. Doug has a global operational, finance, sales, and transactional background. He started his career as a CPA and M&A consultant before moving to technology and telecommunications.

Doug has had private and public equity experience with international companies based in France, Netherlands, U.K., and Sweden. Capital fundraising experience includes initial public offerings, secondary and private equity in both the U.S. and Europe.


Doug was raised in upstate New York and was somehow able to keep moving south for warmer weather and career opportunities. This took a turn northward when the family moved from Texas to Sweden before coming back to New York. He has spent his entire 25-year career with European-based B2B technology companies. He distinctly remembers the international flights to Paris, when smoking was still allowed near his coach seat in the back of the plane. In his spare time, Doug enjoys watching sports and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, fly fishing, and golf.


Doug received his BS from the University of Richmond and his MBA from Emory University. He was a qualified CPA.
